The popular healthy frozen yogurt shop, Red Mango, is celebrating its Seattle area debut with the grand opening of its first location this week at Bellevue Square. The week long festivities include giveaways and free yogurt for mall shoppers and employees.

Unlike traditional frozen yogurts that contain artificial additives and excessive calories from fat and sugar, Red Mango frozen yogurt is made only with natural ingredients, contains no fat and is low in calories. Because Red Mango frozen yogurt is made in the ways real yogurt is made, it offers a deliciously authentic natural yogurt flavor, and contains significant amounts of live and active cultures (also know as probiotics) that are beneficial to your health. Red Mango frozen yogurt is available in two simple yet delicious flavors - Original and Green Tea. Customers can garnish their yogurt with healthy natural toppings including market fresh fruit, berries, nuts and granola.

Espresso Vivace announced they will be moving their flagship store to the new Brix condominium project on Broadway. Vivace will be the anchor tenant with a 2,200 sq ft store.

The new flagship Espresso Vivace Roasteria at Brix, which will take the place of the Denny Way Roasteria, is expected to take the art of coffee a step further - into the design of the coffee bar itself. The interior will not only bring in design elements of both the Sidewalk Bar and the Roasteria, but also will feature a mural under the main bar dedicated to Espresso Vivace’s history on Capitol Hill. Vivace is nearly as famous for its drink-topping coffee art patterns, including its caffe latte rosetta, as it is for its pioneering research on coffee-making techniques.

The current location at Denny & Broadway is expected to become the Capitol Hill station for Sound Transit’s light rail system.

Galvin Flying is one of the largest fixed based operators at Boeing Field. The only reason this is newsworthy to me is that I have a fascination with flying and airplanes. One of my goals this year is to start taking flying lessons, so I’ve been doing a little research on the flight training schools at Boeing Field. Galvin appears to the most expensive school but they seem to have the newest planes and simulators.

CompUSA is shuttering half of its stores. Among the 126 that are closing are all of the stores in the Puget Sound area. The only surviving Washington store will be in Spokane. Though, it looks like a couple of Portland area stores will survive.

Went there yesterday with a friend to see if there were any good deals…it’s spotty. He was looking for a laptop and CompUSA’s laptops were only 5% off with all sales being final. I haven’t always had luck with laptops. I had to exchange the laptop I’m currently using 3 times till I got one that worked.

On the other hand, I was looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse combo…they were 10% off. I found better deals on Amazon and will go that route.
